CASE STUDY
SINKING CONCRETE LETS WATER INTO SPRING LAKE PARK, MN HOME
A Spring Lake Park, MN homeowner contacted DBS after a sinking concrete apron began allowing water to intrude into their home. Our team used PolyLevel® polyurethane foam to lift and level the slab — keeping water out and the home dry.
The Challenge: A Sinking Apron Letting Water into the Home
These homeowners in Spring Lake Park, MN were concerned with their sinking concrete apron. The uneven surface was allowing water to intrude into the home, so they reached out to DBS for a solution. Water intrusion from settled concrete is one of the most overlooked sources of foundation damage in Minnesota — and one of the most preventable.
Our Free, No-Obligation PolyLevel® Estimate
A DBS Design Specialist went out to the home to conduct a free, no-obligation estimate for the owners. After a careful inspection, our PolyLevel® Foam Solution was recommended and a quote was provided — outlining exactly how the slab would be lifted, leveled, and stabilized to stop water from reaching the home.
How the Repair Was Done
Foreman Tyler Orr led the installation of this project with help from Co-Foreman Tyler Nacey. The team began the project by drilling small holes in the sunken concrete. The foam solution is then injected under the concrete where it expands and hardens to lift and level the area — all in a fraction of the time a full slab replacement would take.
The Result: A Dry, Healthy Home
These homeowners can now relax knowing their level concrete will help keep their home dry and healthy. By correcting the slope of the apron and sealing the path water was taking into the home, PolyLevel® delivered a long-lasting fix that protects both the structure and the homeowners’ peace of mind.
