Vapor Barrier Installation
The CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier is the most effective way to stop ground moisture and humidity from entering your crawl space. Installed on walls and floors with a 25-year written warranty, this 20-mil reinforced liner converts your crawl space into a clean, moisture-resistant space in less than one day.

Before: exposed dirt floor, falling fiberglass insulation, visible moisture and mold. After: bright CleanSpace® liner on walls and floor, clean and dry space.
CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier:
The Core of Crawl Space Moisture Control
The CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier is not standard poly sheeting. It is a 20-mil, 7-layer reinforced liner developed specifically for below-grade crawl space environments. It installs on walls and floors, creating an unbroken moisture barrier between the ground and your living space above.
With a mold-resistant UltraFresh additive throughout the surface layer, the liner will never support mold or mildew growth on its surface. It is durable enough for regular foot traffic from homeowners and service workers and carries a 25-year written, transferable warranty against rips and tears.

Vapor Barrier Installation:
What to Expect
1.
Free on-site inspection and estimate
A DBS Repair specialist enters the crawl space to assess beam deflection, identify failing support locations, and determine the number and placement of posts needed. A written estimate is presented at the visit.
2.
Vent covers and door installation (if applicable)
Crawl space vents and entry doors are sealed with airtight CleanSpace covers before the liner goes in, stopping the source of incoming outdoor humidity.
3.
Drainage matting on floor (if selected)
CleanSpace Drainage Matting is laid on the floor before the liner to create sub-liner water channels, ensuring any residual water reaches the drain instead of pooling under the liner.
4.
Liner installation on walls
The 20-mil liner is attached to crawl space walls with plastic pegs and sealed at the joints. For block walls, the WallCap system seals the top of the block cavities before the liner is attached.
5.
Liner installation on floor
The liner is rolled out across the floor, cut and fitted to the crawl space layout, and sealed at the wall-floor joint to create a continuous moisture barrier across all surfaces.
6.
Inspection and warranty documentation
The completed installation is inspected for coverage and seal quality. Warranty documentation is issued at project completion.
Products That Pair with Your Vapor Barrier
The CleanSpace liner is designed to work with the complete DBS crawl space system. These products are commonly installed alongside or after a vapor barrier to complete moisture control.
SmartPipe™ Perimeter Drain and Sump Pump
If water is actively entering your crawl space through the walls or floor, SmartPipe perimeter drainage and a sump pump must be installed before or alongside the liner. Installing a liner over active water without drainage traps moisture underneath.
SaniDry™ Sedona Dehumidifier
For large or previously wet crawl spaces, a self-draining SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is the final layer of protection, keeping relative humidity below 55% year-round and preventing the residual humidity the liner alone cannot eliminate.
SilverGlo™ Wall Insulation and TerraBlock™ Floor Insulation
Wall and floor insulation panels can be installed with the liner to add an R-value layer to the crawl space. SilverGlo provides R-11 on the walls, TerraBlock provides floor insulation and an additional vapor barrier layer on the ground surface.
WallCap Block Wall System
For crawl spaces with concrete block walls, the WallCap system seals the open cavities at the top of the block before the CleanSpace liner is installed. Without WallCap, moisture moves up through the block cavities even when the liner is covering the wall face.
