Homeowners in South Range, WI were having foundation issues leading to excess moisture entering the home. Living in the home for about 15 years, they noticed the issues worsening over time, contributing to significant leaking during springtime thaws and heavy rains.
DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate for foundation repair as well as a waterproofing system. DBS Production Manager Kevin Steffey was the leading foreman on the job for both jobs. He and his production team installed our waterproofing system, and then turn focus to the foundation job.
First, they excavated soil around the home's foundation and then installed 9 Push Piers, driving them down into the load-bearing strata. These hydraulically driven piers assist in returning the home to its original position. A GeoLock™ Wall Anchor System was also installed connecting anchors on the inside of the home and exterior soil with a long steel rod that will be tightened over time, returning the walls to their original position.
The homeowners were happy with the work done and now have a dry basement and supported home they can depend on!

DBS Sales Manager Royce Bunn was the Design Specialist for the project and visited the home to provide a thorough inspection and free estimate for the foundation support. It was determined that both foundation and waterproofing support were needed to permanently support the basement and stop water from finding its way in. DBS Production Manager Kevin Steffey was the Foreman for this project. He and his crew installed our PowerBrace™ Wall Support system, using 10 steel I-beams.
Because the walls were bowing significantly, our crews needed to excavate soil on the outside of the home to restore the walls to their original position. The crew applied SentrySeal® and TerraBlock™ to give extra insulation and provide a waterproofing layer on the exterior wall. Finally, a new SuperSump® Premier Pump System was installed and connected to a new discharge line, guiding water away the home's foundation.
The installation was successful and provided a solid solution to the leaking water and foundation cracks!

Our WaterGuard® drain system was put into place and will effectively capture wall and floor seepage, directing it to the home's existing sump pump.
DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his production crew then performed the foundation support work. They installed a PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, attaching steel I-beams to the concrete floor and the basement rim joists. This PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, is meant to support walls from further movement and can be tightened over time, in order to restore the walls to their original position. The PowerBrace™ beams are zinc-plated and backed with a 75-year warranty against movement.
