Basement Finishing Before & After Photos

Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo visited with the resorts building manager to discuss possible solutions to their hallway ceilings in the resort. Henrik provided the building manager with a great option of using ceiling tiles from our basement finishing product line. Foreman, Drew Sundberg and his crew installed the tiles and everyone was pleased with the result. 

Our clients called DBS looking to install a drop ceiling in their home, so we sent our Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo, to the home to create a proposal. Henrik recommended that the homeowners install a linen ceiling tiles into the home for a fresh new appearance. Homes often install drop ceilings for modern design aesthetic, environmental factors, acoustics, and more. DBS was happy to help the homeowners and install the drop ceiling! This Two Harbors, MN homeowner expressed their want to add a egress basement window for a quick escape in event of an emergency.  After the customer figured out a time that works best with our appointment center, one of our Design Specialists went to the home to run a free no-obligation estimate. After coming to an agreement on the needs that we are able to meet, the homeowner agreed to start the project. One of our crews installed our Total Basement Finishing Egress Window product. This home can now increase its value by creating an additional bedroom or other living space and allow the homeowner to have peace of mind!

A homeowner in Duluth, MN reached out to DBS regarding their basement in the Park Point area of the community. We have seen that many homes in the Park Point area are prone to water damage in the lower parts of their home, being that they are either at or below water level. In this case, the owner was looking for an upgraded waterproofing system to combat flooding. It was determined by our Design Specialist that our crew would install several different products (WaterGuard®, TripleSafe™ sump pump, Dimple Drainage Matting) along the base flooring of the area, and finish it off with a new layer of concrete to elevate the floor and protect from any future water issues.

These Duluth homeowners reached out to DBS after seeing our trucks around town. They had been having issues with water entering their basement and wanted a permanent solution to the problem.
