Homeowners in Duluth, MN built a knew built this new garage on their property that they were in the process of finishing. In order to enjoy that space year-round, and have living space in the upper level, they knew they needed a permanent solution to keep it comfortable.
Our Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the insulation work. Foreman Orrin Sundberg and his production crew installed 3 inches of closed-cell spray foam to seal and insulate the structure. Spray foam expands after its applied, reaching tight spaces and filling gaps where air could escape.
Both the garage level and room above it are now completely sealed and insulated. These homeowners can now enjoy a comfortable garage space year-round!
Homeowners in Duluth, MN wanted to reduce their energy bills and eliminate mold and mildew in their attic. After learning about DBS on local radio, they reached out about our Dr. Energy Saver program.
DBS Design Specialist Henry Jungbauer visited the home and provided an estimate for the attic re-insulation project. He designed a custom plan that involved removing the existing insulation, air sealing the attic, and adding new cellulose insulation.
DBS Foreman Nick Woods II led the install of this attic insulation project. After removing the insulation, the crew applied closed-cell spray foam to the attic deck, sealing gaps, cracks, and holes. From there, the homeowners plan to add cellulose insulation.
After a successful attic insulation like this one, the homeowners should expect increased comfort and reduced energy bills.
A homeowner in Duluth, MN reached out to DBS when they observed ice dams forming on their roof, causing them to worry about their home's well-being. They wanted to prevent damage and find a permanent solution for their home. Our Design Specialist went out to the property to do a free, no-obligation estimate to determine the best solution for the homeowner. After the inspection, our Design Specialist recommended our Spray Foam and cellulose insulation solution.
Our Foreman, Nicholas Wood led the installation of this project with help from a team. The crew began by removing the old insulation and debris. Then they began the insulation process with the first layer of Spray Foam insulation since it also acts as an air sealant and a moisture barrier. Cellulose insulation is then blown into the space to help create a lasting and effective solution. Now this homeowner can relax in their healthy home!
This homeowner reached out to DBS after expressing concerns about mold in their basement and was seeking an overall, more energy-efficient home. Desiring reduced moisture levels, our Design Specialist took note of these wants and suggested that we install our SaniDry® dehumidifier and insulate the basement rim joist to secure the dryness while also saving energy for their home.
The job progressed successfully with the installation of spray foam to the rim joist after the demolition of sections of the wall. Once the SaniDry® was installed, the customer was happy with the work that was completed!
