A homeowner in Superior, WI had a crawlspace with poor protection from leaking water. Crawlspaces with concrete walls and raw floors are susceptible to water damage, as concrete can begin to crack and shift, allowing outside material to gain access to the interior portion of the space. In this case, the homeowner reached out to DBS, and had a crew come and install several waterproofing products to aid in the extraction of unwanted water. It was determined that significant foundation support was needed, and Antonio O'Neil and his crew installed 24 PowerBraces™ along the perimeter of the basement. This system uses the heavy-duty anchors in and connects them to plates on the wall interior wall. Connected with long, galvanized rods, these anchors are tightened to straighten the wall over time and provide maximum support.
