This Hayward, WI cabin owners was in need of a permanent solution for their cabin foundation. As seen in the before photo, the foundation was cracking and shifting, in threat of collapsing in certain areas.
After hearing about us from their neighbor, they called DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate with our Design Specialist Rich Johnsen. He diagnosed the foundation issues beneath the cabin and designed a custom solution for the homeowners using two different wal support systems.
Foreman Nick Burley and his crew installed 4 GeoLock™ Wall Plates and Earth Anchors to the failing foundation wall. This system uses the heavy-duty anchors in and connects them to plates on the wall interior wall. Connected with long, galvanized rods, these anchors are tightened to straighten the wall over time and provide maximum support. The team also installed a PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System. This is meant to support walls from further movement and can be tightened over time, in order to restore the walls to their original position. The PowerBrace™ beams are zinc-plated and backed with a 75-year warranty against movement.
The customer was happy with the work done and now had a permanent solution they can count on for years to come.
A deck in Brule, WI was in need of some added support aside from the original wood posts that went with it, and DBS was able to send out a crew to install helical piers across the structure. These piers are comprised of galvanized steel capable of supporting heavy structures such as home decks, and they work to stabilize them from settling into the ground further. The results of the pier project can be viewed in this gallery.
These homeowners from Brule, Wisconsin reached out to DBS for help stabilizing their cracked foundation walls. The lower level of their home was partially underground with the top third above the ground.
DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the home, Nathan recommended installing GeoLock™ earth anchors to permanently stabilize the failing walls. The GeoLock™ support system works by connecting two plates together using galvanized steel rods and plates. One plate is installed outside the home in stable soil and the other is placed on the wall inside the home. Over time these connected plates are tightened to correct bowing walls.
This home was repaired by DBS Foreman Nick Burley and his production crew.
This home is now healthy, safe, and comfortable!

Design Specialist James Miller went out to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the owners. After a thorough inspection, James recommended a solution offered by DBS called helical piers.
Foreman Trevor Ingle led the installation of this project. With the help of a crew, together they installed the helical piers. The piers are installed by driving each one into the ground beneath the foundation and are designed to permanently stabilize the foundations.
Now that the helical piers have been installed, the owner should not hear any more settling noises coming from their home and they can relax comfortably knowing that they are safe.
