Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

This homeowner was due for an annual maintenance appointment for their WaterGuard® system.

Jacob, DBS's Service Manager, performed the annual inspection and maintenance, starting with flushing out the WaterGuard® system. Since the home was actively being remodeled, debris was flushed out of the system. After the system was flushed out, the WaterGuard® was operating like new. The homeowner was also concerned about some effervescence coming through the slab, and Jacob inspected the area.

As part of our DBS Care Club, an annual maintenance appointment also includes cleaning the sump pump and basin. Once these tasks were completed, the TripleSafe™ sump pump was running like new as well!

Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo went to the home to run a free, no-obligation estimate for the homeowners. After a thorough inspection, Henrik provided a quote for our basement waterproofing solution.

Foreman Greg Owens led the installation of this project with help from a crew. Together, the crew installed our WaterGuard® french drains around the basement and also installed CleanSpace® water vapor barrier to thoroughly waterproof the space. This system keeps the space dry and effectively leads the water intrusion to the sump pump to be removed from the home. 

Now that the basement has been waterproofed, the homeowners can relax knowing their home is dry and healthy!

Foreman Zach Royer led the installation of this project with help from a crew. The team created trenches around the perimeter of the basement and placed our WaterGuard® drain lines within. These drain lines are able to collect water intrusion from the floor joists and walls of the home. The water is then transported to a sump pump and removed from the home. Finally, the drain lines are covered with concrete for a flush finish.

The owner of this home in Bruno, MN was having issues keeping their basement dry. They reached out to DBS in hopes of finding a waterproofing solution.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed a WaterGuard® french drain system around the interior perimeter of the home. Then they installed a new sump pump to help expel water up and away from the foundation.

This crawl space had issues with water. The home itself was on the bottom of a slope and water would sometimes gather in the crawl space. Standing water creates a very damp crawl space atmosphere which contributes to mold, musty smells, and rot. This nasty crawl space required a complete encapsulation to seal it away from the problems it was facing. Underneath our CleanSpace matting in the corner of this crawl space we have installed a sump pump to prevent water from gathering and causing further issues with the home. This completed system brings new life to a home that may have eventually felt the effects of mold and rot if not handled properly.
