Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

This homeowner signed up to fix their bowing wall, but before we could get there the wall caved in, in the middle of the night. This project started after the wall caved in. Two of our guys, Tysen and Royce went to the shop and collected material to support the house and close the basement off. We had sold the project before hand, so we then demo'ed the collapsed wall and started the rebuild. After Tikka Masonry replaced the cement blocks, we installed waterproofing, drain tile, and foam insulation. StableFill was then installed by us as an engineered fix to alleviate future earth pressure caused by the slope. 

This Duluth, MN homeowner noticed that their basement wall was beginning to bow outward. Concerned with the foundation, they called DBS to come out and give a free estimate for foundation wall repair. Upon the inspection, Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo, was able to diagnose and find a solution for their bowing wall. Foreman, Casey Healy and his team installed PowerBraces to secure the bowing wall. The customer was happy and relieved that their wall was now secure. 

This homeowner called DBS with some concerns about their basement wall. Over time the wall had cracked and had started to bow in. The homeowner realized that they should not wait any longer to fix this issue. Design Specialist, Royce Bunn visited the home and found a quality solution to the problem. Foreman, Casey Healy and his team installed Powerbraces to help stabilize the wall. The crew also installed a WaterGuard system to help remove excess seeping water. 

Cracks had occurred in the walls of this foundation, and over time they grew large enough that water was able to seep through and promote mold growth. Concerned about the wall caving in as well as the health and safety of their home, after being referred by a friend, the homeowner reached out to DBS in hopes of finding a permanent solution.

Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo went out to this Duluth home to conduct a free no-obligation inspection of the issue. Upon completion of a thorough inspection, Henrik informed the homeowner that DBS's PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System would be the best solution for the cracked walls. DBS was also consulted to install waterproofing materials for this home as well.

Foreman Osia Williams and his crew led the installation for this project. Osia and his team successfully installed 3 PowerBrace™ I-beams that can be tightened over the years to correct cracking in the walls, and even potentially move the wall back to its initial position.

The owners of this home are now able to relax comfortably in their home knowing that their foundation has been permanently stabilized, and the basement is dry and free of additional mold growth or cracking.

Foreman Osia Williams led the installation of this project with help from Rowan Wentworth. These steel i-beam braces are able to stabilize the wall and prevent any further movement. They can also be adjusted in order to straighten the wall back into its original position.
