This homeowner in Esko, MN reached out to DBS for help with wall stabilization. The block foundation in the basement was experiencing horizontal and stair-step cracks, causing instability to the structure. The homeowner wanted to reinforce the stability and straighten the wall.
Design Specialist Jacob Nustad assisted this homeowner with a free no-obligation estimate to help find the best solution for the home. After careful inspection, Jacob recommended the homeowner install a GeoLock™ Wall Anchor System, as well as, a PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System.
Foreman Tyler Nacey led the installation of this project, along with a team. The team worked together to install 5 GeoLock™ Wall Anchors and 2 PowerBrace™ I-beams. The GeoLock™ systems connect steel plates inside the home to earth anchors outside of the home. By adjusting the connection, the wall can be moved and repositioned back into place. The PowerBrace™ beams are connected to the rim joists and also allow for stabilization. These beams are adjusted overtime to keep the wall from settling any further and to move the walls back to their original positions.
Having both of these systems supporting the home, this homeowner will have nothing to worry about when it comes to stabilization.
