Design Specialist Rich Johnson assisted the homeowners in a free, no-obligation estimate in order to find the perfect solution for their home. After conducting a careful inspection of the home and crawl space, Rich suggested that SmartJack® Systems should be installed to lift and stabilize the floor.
Foreman Dustin Behning was the leader of this installation. The team installed 8 SmartJack® Systems in order to redistribute the weight on the home evenly across all support beams. These jacks are very effective and can be adjusted on sight, as well as overtime to continue to support the home as needed. This home had an annual maintenance visit to adjust the jacks further, in order to create more progress on leveling the home.
This homeowner will now have permanent, level floors in their home and will no longer have to worry about instability in their home.

One of our Design Specialists provided the homeowner with a free no-obligation estimate for our spray foam insulation service. This family cabin in Palisade, MN was recently purchased. In order to make it a space for the whole family to enjoy, the new owners would like to expand the floorplan. Because the cabin has some issues with settling, they would like to level and support the structure before adding on.
DBS Design Specialist James Miller visited the home for a free, no-obligation estimate. After diagnosing the structural issues, James created a plan using our SmartJack and helical pier system.
DBS Foreman Trevor Ingle and his crew completed this stabilization project. 6 SmartJack® adjustable beams were installed beneath the cabin to support the floor joists in the crawl space. To raise and level the cabin foundation, our crew drove 12 helical piers into the ground around the perimeter. Once these piers reach stable soil, the weight of the cabin is transferred to the strata layer far beneath the ground's surface.
This cabin is now structurally sound and the family can move on with their plans to expand and renovate this Northwoods retreat!

Design Specialist Austin Burley went to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, Austin provided education on our Crawl Space Encapsulation Service to our customer and generated a free quote customized to their cabin's needs.
Foreman Evan LaFontaine led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed dimpled drainage matting to assist water flow in the crawl space. On top of that, they installed panels of TerraBlock™ insulation to provide a proper frost barrier and finished the encapsulation process by installing CleanSpace® water vapor barrier. To finish the insulation aspect of the project, the crew sprayed the vertical walls with our closed-cell polyurethane spray foam insulation.
Now that the crawl space has been properly insulated and waterproofed, the cabin owner will be able to enjoy warmer living spaces without having to pay higher heating bills!
This dirt crawl space was causing the home to lose energy at an alarming rate, creating cold floors and an uncomfortable environment. When this area became humid it also led to musty smells in the home. The homeowner did not want his visitors to be met with these odors as they came in the door, so he took action to make a change. In order to solve these problems, our specialists assessed the situation and prescribed a solution to permanently fix the issues experienced. The solution in this situation was to use our Clean Space matting to encapsulate the crawl space. This was paired with our silver glow foam board insulation and spray foam insulation to properly air seal the crawl space and create a comfortably insulated home.
