Basement Finishing Before & After Photos

Homeowners in Duluth, Minnesota were looking to make their basement a more enjoyable place to spend time. After hearing about us through the radio, they contacted DBS Residential Solutions and decided it was time to do something. Following a short informative phone call with Kelsey Anderson, the office manager, an appointment was set for System Design Specialists Henrick Makitalo to make a visit out to the home for a free no obligation estimate. After a thorough inspection, Henrick gave a detailed estimate and explained the best possible solution to make the basement more comfortable. That same day an appointment was set up for the production crew to transform the basement. Foremen, Casey Healy and Jace Aili  with their crew came out to the home to install power braces in order to repair the cinder block wall. Then, the basement was finished using our patented basement finishing products.  The homeowner now enjoys a safe, comfortable, and dry basement.

This basement had walls with cracks that were allowing water to come through the wall and enter the basement. We used our CleanSpace matting to create a waterproofed wall. This method also creates a bright white clean look for the basement foundation walls. 

A homeowner in Esko, MN reached out to DBS in regards to the Total Basement Finishing™ service we provide. They wanted to customize their basement so that it would create a more warm and comfortable living area, and DBS did just that!

In this Grand Marais home, the homeowner was having trouble with their dirty, damp crawl space creating musty odors in their home. If left untreated this problem could have lead to mold and rot in the wooden supports of the building. The homeowner wanted to make sure they had a permanent solution to the problem instead of treating the symptoms, so they had DBS Residential Solutions encapsulate their crawl space with our patented CleanSpace polyethylene vapor barrier with the addition of a sump pump to remove water that entered under the barrier. 

DBS received a call that a home in Mora, MN needed maintenance. The house required two of our services, wall stabilization, and basement waterproofing to keep it warm and dry. We installed the PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System for support, then began the basement waterproofing services. We started by using our Super Sump® Premier Pump System to make sure the water was sufficiently being managed in the home. Then, we use our interior waterproofing around the entire perimeter of the basement to make sure the whole area remains dry.
