A DBS Designs Specialist went to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, the Design Specialist generated a quote for our closed-cell polyurethane spray foam insulation.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they lined the metal walls in the pole barn with spray foam to insulate the space.

Now that the pole barn has been thoroughly insulated, the owner will be able to spend more time working on projects as it will be warmer.

This homeowner in Mountain Iron, MN was unhappy with the insufficient insulation in the attic of their home. The home was suffering from ice dams, so they reached out to DBS for help.

Foreman Nicholas Woods led the installation of this project with help from a team. The crew began by removing the old insulation and debris. SprayFoam is then used as the first layer of insulation because it also acts as an air sealant and a moisture barrier. Cellulose insulation is then blown into the space creating a lasting and effective solution.

Previously, this porch in Mountain Iron, MN became uncomfortably hot during the summer, making it difficult to enjoy on warm days. As shown in the before photo, the lack of proper insulation under the porch allowed heat to build up, making the space unbearably warm. To address this, we installed Closed Cell Spray Foam insulation, which works by creating a tight, air-sealed barrier. This helps to prevent heat from entering or escaping, keeping the porch cooler in the summer and more comfortable year-round. The after photo shows how the insulation now helps maintain a more pleasant temperature, turning the porch into a usable and enjoyable space again.

This homeowner contacted DBS to address ice dams and prevent further damage to their house in the future. When our Design Specialist went out to the property, they inspected the attic and recommended a hybrid system for living areas because the heat was irregular.

When our production crew went out to the property, they installed our Dr. Energy Saver insulation system in the attic - spray foam and TruSoft™ cellulose.

The owners of this home in Hibbing, MN were experiencing issues with ice dams forming on their roof. Due to improper air-sealing and insulation, the temperature in an attic of a home will rise as the living spaces are heated. As the attic heats, snow will melt on the roof above and form ice at the edges of the roofline causing damage to gutters and roofing tiles. Looking for an energy-efficient solution, the homeowners reached out to DBS.

Design Specialist Austin Burley went out to the property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowners. After a thorough inspection, Austin informed the owners of the cause of the issue and educated them on insulation solutions offered by DBS.

Foreman Raeshawn Pelfry led the installation of this project with help from a crew. First, the crew air-sealed the attic by filling in all gaps and crevices with ZypFoam™, a spray foam insulation that expands into tight spaces when applied to create a tight seal. Next, they sprayed a waterproof polyurethane foam over the flooring in the attic to complete the air-sealing process. Finally, the crew blew in 17 inches of Tru-Soft™ cellulose insulation to thoroughly insulate the attic. A benefit of cellulose insulation is that it retains heat better than fiberglass batting insulation. It is also treated in a borate solution for fire-retardancy and pest repellant. 

Now that the home has been properly insulated, the homeowners can relax comfortably in their homes without suffering high energy bills.
