Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

This customer reached out to DBS after noticing cracks in their basement walls and on the outside of the house. With the intention of potentially renting out or selling their property, they wanted to make sure their basement was safe and wasn't going to cause any further issues in the future.

When our Design Specialist, Nicholas Corbin, went out to the property, he inspected the cracks and was able to relate them to a foundation issue. The foundation was settling and the house needed to be supported through the installation of interior piers and lifts.

Once our production crew was able to get out to the residents property, they were able to install our 3" Push Piers that have a low profile bracket underneath the foundation and lift it back into place. Once the products were installed, the homeowner was happy with the results and could be more comfortable renovating the basement for the future of the house.

Tackling a tough situation in Minneapolis, MN, our team was called upon for a crucial foundation repair. In the before photo, notice the concerning wall cracks hidden behind a homeowner's belongings for years, identified amidst health worries like mold—a daunting challenge, especially when preserving the basement's integrity was paramount. After free, no-obligation inspection was set up with our Appointment Center, Design Specialist James went out to take a look at the property. Before, our client in Richfield, MN faced a sagging floors issue due to an unsupported and chilly crawlspace, visible in the left photo. After reaching out to us, we applied a sturdy solution - installing a SmartJack™ system. As you can see in the right photo, this not only provided the necessary support from beneath but dramatically improved the comfort in the room above. This South Minneapolis home had been in the family for a couple generations. Wanting to restore the cracking and shifting foundation, the owner contacted DBS. 

DBS Sales Manager Royce Bunn visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation project. Royce thoroughly measured the foundation settlement and discovered that one side of the house in particular was sinking, cause the rest of the foundation to crack and shift as well. 

Zach Jorenby and his crew excavated the exterior of the home in order to perform a lift procedure. Our team installed 20 push piers total at the base of the home on the exterior of the home. These galvanized steel piers were then hydraulicaly driven into the ground to weight-bearing soils. The weight of the home was then transferred to the competent soil.

On the home's interior, our production crew used PowerBrace™ steel I-beams to support the buckling wall on the inside.

The homeowners were happy with the work done and can now depend on a safe and comfortable home for years to come.
