This lakeside homeowner in Alexandria, MN faced the issue of a crawlspace taking on water, thanks to rising lake levels overwhelming their sump pump system.
After our Appointment Center set up a free, no-obligation inspection with Design Specialist Henrik. Once a through look and solution was provided, our production team, led by Foreman Shane, introduced CleanSpace©. This encapsulation system is known for transforming damp, murky crevices into dry, usable spaces. As seen in the after photo, this intervention not only safeguards the area from moisture but also equips the home with an added layer of protection for a long-lasting solution.
A homeowner in Hackensack, MN reached out to DBS regarding the dirty crawl space area in their home. They were concerned with moisture and odors that were entering the home, and were seeking a solution. DBS was able to send out a crew to install the CleanSpace® system to cover the area. This lining is spread throughout the crawl space for moisture control. This installation was just one of several steps in the project, and will surely help with the condition of the crawl space and the overall home.
This cabin in Hackensack, MN was struggling with its foundation. The shoreline is beginning to recede and as result, the foundation was sinking into the soil. Looking for a permanent stabilization solution to keep the lake home in the family, the owner reached out to DBS.
Design Specialist James Miller went out to the cabin to conduct a free no-obligation estimate. After a thorough inspection, James advised the owners that DBS had a stabilization solution called the SmartJack®System that would support the cabin. He also recommended DBS Crawl Space Encapsulation services to waterproof the area.
Foreman Evan LaFontaine led the installation of this project with help from a crew. Together they installed 3 SmartJack® supports and encapsulated the crawlspace in 3 layers. The first layer installed was a dimpled drainage matting to assist the flow of water beneath the insulation. Then they installed panels of TerraBlock™ foam insulation to protect the crawl space from frost. The last step in the encapsulation process was encasing the area in a layer of CleanSpace® water vapor barrier.
Now that the crawlspace has been permanently stabilized and encapsulated, the cabin owner will be able to get much more use out of their lake home retreat all year round without worry that it will sink into the lake.
Getting ready for retirement in Hackensack, MN, meant prepping a home for year-round comfort, efficiency, and critter-proofing. The before photo shows a rather unruly crawl space, barely recognizable from the clean, sealed area you see after. Our team installed CleanSpace®, a durable liner that transformed the space, making it not just more efficient and warm but also unwelcoming to unwanted guests. As seen in the results, we ensured the homeowner could look forward to a secure and efficient retirement home.
