CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier was recommended to keep water out of the crawl space. Thermal imaging tests revealed that heat was escaping from the joists and perimeter of the crawl space. Foreman Jason Foster and his production team installed a waterproofing system and insulated the joists with spray foam.

After inspecting the crawl space, Rich recommended installing CleanSpace® waterproofing vapor barrier to eliminate moisture from entering this home. A homeowner in Duluth, MN had a dirt crawl space that was prone to wetness. It had failing insulation causing temperature and humidity fluctuations in the rest of their home. To learn more about what steps were needed to seal their crawl space, they reached out to us about our Dr. Energy Saver services. 

A Design Specialist trained in energy-saving solutions, visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. It was recommended that a CleanSpace® vapor barrier be laid over drainage matting. These two products work together to direct water away from the crawl space, preventing moisture and the growth of mold. Additionally, TerraBlock™ insulation and closed-cell spray foam were suggested to fully seal and regulate temperature in the space. 

The DBS Foreman and production crew installed these products resulting in a great improvement of this home's overall health. 

This homeowner in South Range, WI was experiencing uncomfortable conditions in their home for years. After meeting us at the Duluth Home Show, the decided to tackle their unsealed crawl space. Water was pooling in the space causing humid air to enter the home in the summer months and cold air during winter months. 

DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate for a total crawl space encapsulation. After the inspection, he recommended a bit of supplemental support to address some sinking, as well as CleanSpace® vapor barrier as well as sump pump in the space to tackle the water issues.

DBS Foreman Orrin Sundberg used our TerraBlock™ foam insulation to insulate the walls and rim joists, and finished the job by sealing everything in a layer of closed-cell spray foam. These two insulations will work together to keep moisture and cold air from penetrating the rest of the home.

From there, Foreman Taylor Allen and his crew completed the crawl space encapsulation. The team installed 3 SmartJack® support beams to address the sinking ceiling. They then put down a drainage matting, followed by our ultra durable CleanSpace® vapor barrier, and a Triple Safe™ sump pump. This crawl space drainage system is specially designed for crawl spaces and was connected to two discharge lines that will carry the water up and out of the home.
