Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

These Duluth homeowners reached out to DBS after hearing our radio ads. They had been having issues with water pooling in their basement and trouble with their unfinished crawlspace. A DBS Design Specialist provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. Foreman Kevin Steffey and his production team installed our WaterGuard® System along the perimeter of the basement and a TripleSafe™ Sump Pump to keep water out of the basement for good. Spray Foam was applied to the crawlspace to insulate and protect it.

This home now has a clean, safe and dry basement to enjoy. 

A homeowner in Duluth, MN reached out to DBS regarding an upgrade for their home insulation, particularly in a knee wall section. Previously, the area was insulated with standard fiberglass wool insulation, which was causing some issues for the home in regards to saving energy. Fortunately, DBS was able to send out a crew to install SilverGlo™ insulation panels for the knee wall area. A church in Duluth, MN had a dirt crawl space that was prone to wetness. Concerned about how this was affecting the humidity and temperature was affecting the rest of the building, they reached out to us about our Dr. Energy Saver services. 

A Design Specialist trained in energy-saving solutions, visited the space to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. It was recommended that a CleanSpace® vapor barrier be laid over drainage matting. These two products work together to direct water toward the 5 SmartDrain® outlets installed in the crawl space.

TerraBlock™ insulation and closed-cell spray foam was applied to fully seal and regulate temperature in the space.

The system directs all moisture to a new UltraSump® sump pump. 

The homeowner can now continue plans to transform their home's basement, rest assured that the water issues are solved! 

This Duluth, MN resident had been living in this home for over 50 years. They had some cracking in the foundation, but it hadn't really caused any trouble until about 5 years ago, when cracks in the foundation were starting to worsen. Water was leaking into the basement through the cracked foundation and causing damage to their wall panels.

DBS Design Specialist James Miller visited the home and provided a thorough inspection and a free, no-obligation estimate for the bowing basement walls. He proposed our PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System to permanently stabilize and restore the shifting foundation, as well as both interior and exterior waterproofing systems.

DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his crew first excavated the soil around the home's exterior to prep for a wall straightening procedure. From there, they installed 10 PowerBrace I-beams, connecting them to the basement's concrete floor and ceiling joists. Initial tightening by our crew was done to immediately straighten the wall's position.

After the wall staightening procedure, they added a waterproof membrane to the exterior foundation. This will prevent water from seeping into the foundation wall blocks.

The homeowner can now rest easy knowing that their home is safe and dry!
