Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

Owners of this 1970's Grand Rapids home reached out to DBS for information on waterproofing their leaky basement.

They had been having issues with mold in their basement and wanted a permanent solution to the problem. Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. A DBS Foreman and production team installed 30 feet of our WaterGuard® Drainage System along the perimeter of the basement, as well as CleanSpace® Wall Poly on the walls. This system directs all moisture to a brand new SuperSump® sump pump.

Homeowners of a partially-finished basement in Duluth, MN were having issues with moisture entering through the basement's foundation. With aspirations to finish their basement, they wanted a solution to the water issues before investing in basement finishing. The system directs all moisture to a new TripleSafe™ sump pump. The crew connected this system to a new discharge line with IceGuard® to prevent freezing water in the winter months. 

Homeowners in Mondovi, WI had lived in this home for 15 years. They knew that the basement would consistenty leak in a few areas from the foundation. Fearful that the water issue would only get worse, causing mold and other damage to the basement, they contacted DBS.

In order to combat addtional humidity in the basement, the crew also connected a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier to the sump pump. This will pull moisture out of the basement, keeping humidity levels consistent.

Owners of this home in Duluth, MN wanted to move ahead with plans to finish their basement. But after having consistent water intrusion from their foundation walls, they knew they needed a permanent solution. DBS Design Specialist Rich Johnsen is our expert in basement waterproofing and visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. After thoroughly inspecting the leaky basement, he discovered some bowing and cracks in the foundation walls that was contributing to the leaking.

DBS Foreman Nick Burley and his crew installed a PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System made up of 4 steel beams. Attached to the ceiling joists and concrete footing, these beams will be tightened over time to restore the wall to its original position.

From there, the DBS waterproofing crew lead by Taylor Allen installed our basement waterproofing products. First, they dug a trench along the perimeter of two basement walls and carried out the concrete. From there, they installed our WaterGuard® drainage system and surrounded it with gravel to encourage proper drainage. Once the drain system install was complete, they connected it to a brand new TripleSafe™ sump pump.

The homeowners now have a solid solution to keep water out of the basement, and they can continue with their basement finishing plans.
