Open Vent In Need of Closing
Upon the inspection, our Design Specialist found a vent site that needed repairing. DBS will assist in temporarily sealing this until a roofing expert can provide a proper patch to this space.
Attic Victim top Stack Effect
When the attic is not properly sealed, it allows air to travel up and out of the space. This creates a vacuum and the attic air is replace with warm air that it has pulled from the home below. This kind of air flow is inefficient and leads to high heating bills.
Existing Insulation
A layer of 8 inches of blown-in insulation is not nearly enough to properly insulate a home in our climate.
Insulation Needed in Wall
Currently, warm air is able to escape via un-insulated spaces like these. Our team will densely pack our Tru-Soft™ cellulose into the walls to create a proper layer of protection.
Access to Attic Will Be Sealed
Attic scuttle covers are often installed but not sealed to prevent warm air from escaping into the attic space above.
Radiant Barrier for Attic Access
Our team used TerraBlock™ to build a proper radiant barrier, properly separating the living space from the attic space.
Vent Site Sealed
We offered a temporary patch to the site of the vent to ensure that unnecessary loss of heat wasn't taking place.
17 Inches of Tru-Soft™ Cellulose
Our team replaced the previous 8-inches of insulation with 17 of our Tru-Soft™ cellulose. This durable, dense insulation is far superior to fiberglass, and ranks 25% more effective than most other types of cellulose.
