Cold and Drafty Room in Duluth, MN Home
This room was converted into livable space but proved to be too cold and drafty.
Existing Insulation is Minimal
The existing insulation in this attic was almost non-existent, providing very little protection to the living space just on the other side of the wall.
Blown-In Insulation to Be Replaced
Our crews first removed this existing insulation. They then completed an installation of our TerraBlockā¢ on the super deck and then applied spray foam around the rafters.
5-inches of Spray Foam Here
Because there is very little space and existing insulation to make an impact on the attic living space, our team applied 5 inches of closed-cell spray foam here.
Spray Foam Application Complete
The closed-cell spray foam that DBS uses is impenetrable to air and moisture.
Attic Eaves Completely Sealed
The fiberglass batting that was present here had separated and wasn't effective in providing a radiant barrier.
Home Addition
Even small additions are important to insulate properly the first time to ensure that your space is safe and fully usable.
Addition Soffits
Soffit covers are key to providing protection and good air flow to your attic at the same time.
Addition Properly Sealed
This newly-built addition is off to a great start with closed-cell spray foam installed by our production team.
