This homeowner contacted DBS after experiencing discomfort during gatherings and winter events in their garage due to insufficient insulation, even after installing a heater. The absence of insulation in the exterior walls and ceiling made the situation worse, leading to consistently cold conditions. This posed a challenge in creating a comfortable environment for social gatherings, particularly during colder months.
Solution
Our Design Specialist proposed a solution to address the insulation shortcomings by dense packing both the walls and ceiling. This would cover a total area of 378 square feet on the first floor and 440 square feet on the second floor, ensuring effective thermal insulation throughout the garage. By implementing this solution, DBS aimed to significantly improve the comfort level within the space, making it more conducive for hosting gatherings and events, even during the coldest seasons.
