Challenge
Looking to insulate a 2 car garage, traditional style home. The homeowners were looking for insulation to a room that is above the 3rd stall of their garage, where their boat is stored. The homeowners were ultimately looking to make their garage a warmer, more efficient area in their home. They had been noticing drafts in the area and they want to ensure their garage is meeting the overall goal of keeping their belongings sheltered from the cold. Solution
The homeowners were looking for insulation in the room above the garage to keep a temperature and fire barrier. The closed insulation being added to the home with our spray foam insulation service keeps the temperature enclosed in the area and makes the home more energy efficient. The couple wanted to have their garage heating to be improved from our services so we worked out a plan to ensure satisfaction in their garage storage temperature. Our solution included all around insulation on the lower and upper garage to make sure we could keep the temperature in and create a stronger barrier. DBS also suggested replacing two of the garage windows to become more energy efficient and sealed in the garage. We’ve included some before photos of the garage that needed added spray foam insulation.
