A 130-year old home in Superior, WI was in need of foundation support. The outer foundation walls had settled, causing the main floor supports to sink as well. Looking for a permanent solution, the homeowner contacted DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate for the repair work.DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder visited the home and gave a thorough estimate inside the basement as well as the home's exterior. After taking measurements and assessing the structural damage, he put together a custom plan to restore the home.DBS Foreman Trevor Ingle and his crew performed the structural repairs. First, they excavated soil around the exterior side of the foundation to reach the home's footing. They attached pier brackets to the footing and drove 5 steel piers into the ground, transferring the weight of the home to stable soil. They also used our SmartJack technology to support the sinking main level floor.This home now has a permanent solution to keep it structurally sound for years to come!
