Because our team would need to excavate the soil around the foundation, Nathan also recommended applying an external waterproofing membrane to deter moisture from entering the basement. This will also assist in frost protection. DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his foundation crew completed this project. After excavating the soil around the foundation of the home, they installed 8 push piers, attaching the steel brackets to the foundation footing. From there, long, galvanized tubes are hydraulically driven into the soil. Once competent soil is reached, the weight of the home is transferred and lifted back to its original position. After our team completed the lift procedure, the home was restored to a level position. The owners may now proceed with their renovation plans!
