This log construction cabin has been in the family since it was first built. Changes in the soil with freezing and thawing throughout the years have caused significant settling in the structure. The family was concerned about the health of the cabin and wanted a permanent solution in protecting it in years to come.DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder visited the cabin and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the cabin's foundation repair work. After inspecting the crawl space, and measuring the structure's settlement, he crafted a plan that would restore the cabin's structural integrity. DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his crew installed 10 push piers around the perimeter, completing a lift procedure of the sinking structure. They also added supplemental beams and a SmartJack® System to support the floor joists beneath the cabin. This family can now rest easy knowing that their cabin is safe and secure for many years to come
