Foundation Repair Photo Album: Cracked and Leaky Basement Walls Fixed with Waterproofing and Foundation Support Systems
Homeowners of this 1902 home in Superior, WI contacted DBS in need of a permanent solution for the cracking foundation walls in their basement. The horizontal cracks as seen in the before photo were causing leaking. The homeowner was tired of the water issues and wanted to protect their belongings.
DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder visited the home for a free, no-obligation estimate for the best course of action. Foreman Nick Burley and his crew installed four GeoLock™ Wall Plates and Earth Anchors to the failing foundation wall. This system uses heavy-duty anchors and connects them to plates on the wall interior wall. Connected with long, galvanized rods, these anchors are tightened to straighten the wall over time and provide maximum support. To prevent water from flooding onto the basement floor, Taylor Allen and his waterproofing team installed an interior waterproofing system. This included our interior drain tile WaterGuard®, connected to a new SingleSafe™ sump pump.
The customer was happy with the work done and now has a permanent solution they can count on for years to come.
