DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home for a free, no-obligation estimate for our waterproofing system. It was determined that some waterproofing products, as well as some structural support, as needed. Production Manager Kevin Steffey was the foreman on this project. He and his crew installed a brand new SaniDry™ dehumidifier and IceGuard® to prevent wintertime freeze-up of discharge lines. They also installed 8 PowerBrace™ I-beams to provide long-lasting support of the home. The homeowner was happy with the work done and can now enjoy a dry and supported basement!

Our production crew also applied closed-cell spray foam to seal the rim joists. Sealing this area is key to prevent cold winter air from reaching the basement.

We also applied spray foam to the area above the basement windows. This is a consistent trouble area for cold air and water to reach the basement.

PowerBraces™ Installed

8 PowerBraces™ were installed in order to stop the foundation walls from further movement. These steel I-beams can be tightened over time to eventually restore the walls to their original position.

Home's Existing Sump Pump

Upon thorough inspection, Henrik determined that the home's existing sump pump was in good working order. We installed a new discharge line to ensure once water is out of the home, that it disperses properly and does not pose a threat to the home's foundation.
