Homeowners in of a 90-year-old home in Superior, WI noticed some cracks in their foundation worsening. Quite of bit of water was reaching the basement, causing mildew and undesirable conditions for storage. They were referred to DBS and reached out to us is hopes of a permanent solution. DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation support and a waterproofing system. DBS Production Manager Kevin Steffey was the leading foreman on the job. He and his production team installed our WaterGuard® System along the perimeter of the basement, as well as CleanSpace® Wall Poly on the walls. The system directs all moisture to a new TripleSafe™ sump pump. The crew connected this system to a new discharge line with IceGuard® to prevent freezing water in the winter months. The crew also installed 5 PowerBrace™ steel I-beams to stop the movement of the bowing basement wall and restore their original position. These homeowners were happy with the work done and now have a safe and dry basement to enjoy!

PowerBrace™ Steel Support Beams

These steel I-beams support the foundation wall and are tightened over time to restore the wall to its original position.

IceGuard® on the Home's Exterior

A new sump pump was installed and connected to new discharge line on the exterior of the home. IceGuard® drains were installed to prevent icy build-up in the winter.
