Foundation Repair Photo Album: GeoLock® Wall Anchor System Installed in Superior, WI
A homeowner in Superior, WI was looking to improve the support of their basement foundation wall, and reached out to DBS for assistance. It was determined that the wall would need to have a set of GeoLock® anchors installed for the stabilization to fully work. This product is optimal for adding extra support to failing foundation walls, and can even work to straighten bowing walls. The anchors are embedded below soil on the exterior portion of the wall, and then attached by a steel rod to a separate anchor on the interior of the wall. The album here will show what exactly this looks like.
Exterior Anchor
We see here the exterior part of the anchor system which is embedded within the soil and later buried.
Steel Connection
The two anchor ends are connected through these galvanized steel rods running below the surface.
Interior Wall Anchor
The interior end of the anchor acts as a grip that can tighten and create a pulling force against the bowing wall.
