Exterior Cracks
Identifying foundation issues isn't always easy. Sometimes cracks are obvious and walls are bowed into the room by several inches but other times there may only be small signs like short hairline cracks or cracks on the exterior of the foundation which may be underground or behind landscaping. The size and length of the crack do not necessarily indicate the potential size of the foundation problem, so regardless of where you think a crack might be it is important to have your foundation inspected by a professional.
Internal Foundation Repair
When foundations are damaged but require an internal repair we still have multiple options depending on the situation. In this basement it was optimal to use PowerBraces to permanently secure the foundation.
Securing the Wall
According to the specifications of the wall and our products we determine how far apart the PowerBraces will need to be spaced apart to fix the problem and protect it from future damage.
Multiple Walls
With this solution we do not have a need to dig up around the exterior of the home so we can quickly add them around the entire home perimeter if the situation calls for it.
Anchored to the Joists
Providing the right amount of support is crucial to us and to do this with PowerBraces we take support assistance from the concrete floor and the rim joists above.
Versatile Solutions
We use the floor joists of the home to support our solution. It is most efficient to install this solution perpendicular to the wall we are working on, but when the wall runs parallel to the problem wall we can still make the changes necessary to make the solution work. The products we use have been installed in thousands of basements and have been made to be used in just about any circumstance. If you think you might have a challenging situation we would love to hear about it and try to help you out!
