A Large Deck In Need of Support
This large deck was supported by small concrete footings.
Exposed Footing
This deck post was standing on the small platform created by the footing. If this footing were to shift the deck could become warped or insufficiently supported
The Fix
To fix this problem we supported the deck while installing a helical pier to take the same place of the previous footing.
Securing the Post
This new post then gets secured to the old post once it has been properly placed on the new helical pier.
A Permanently Stable Solution
The helical pier is now firmly implanted in the earth and provides permanent support for this deck post. The deck is now no longer at risk from the potential symptoms of shifting concrete footings. This is an excellent solution for all types of decks, big and small.
