Sagging Foundation Stabilized with Helical Piers in Hayward, Wisconsin
Challenge
The foundation at this Hayward, Wisconsin cabin was sinking in many areas. It was composed of concrete blocks and repaired over time with wood shims. This temporary fix was no longer working and the homeowner knew that something more permanent needed to be done. Solution
In this situation it was decided between the specialist and the customer that the best option would be to use helical piers and steel i-beams to support the structure. In order to effectively support this structure we used a total of 6 pairs of helical piers which were then connected with steel i-beams. The i-beams provided the level support that the structure needed while the piers were set far enough into the earth to remove the effects of the shifting earth on the home. This Hayward cabin is now permanently leveled and stabilized.
