Wall Reinforcement and Stabilization with Carbon Armor in Grand Marais, MN
Challenge
This Grand Marais, MN customer was experiencing cracks and bowing in their foundation wall. They understood that this problem would not get better on its own, but they wanted an unobtrusive solution that did not require steel beams or digging on the outside of the home.
Solution
At DBS Residential Solutions we do everything we can to make sure we provide the customer with the permanent solution that fits their needs. Fortunately, in this situation we were able to provide the customer with the convenience of an unobtrusive product while simultaneously providing a permanent solution. With our patented CarbonArmor wall reinforcing system, we are able to permanently stabilize the cracked and bowing wall. In order to install this product we must: prepare the wall for installation, measure and cut the carbon fiber strap to fit the wall, saturate the CarbonArmor strap with epoxy resin, apply the epoxy resin to the foundation wall, adhere the carbon armor strap to the wall, and finally add a top coat of epoxy to ensure adhesion to the wall. The straps are typically secured with an ArmorLock bracket
