Challenge
The homeowner contacted DBS to level their trailer while preserving the existing support structure. This presented a challenge as any adjustment had to be done without compromising the integrity of the trailer's framework. The primary concern was to achieve an even level without causing any damage or instability during the process.
Solution
Upon assessment by our Design Specialist, Devin Wilson, a solution was proposed to install three SmartJacks® along the existing supports. SmartJacks® are adjustable steel supports designed to stabilize and level floor joists and beams. Once the crew commenced work on the property, they strategically placed the SmartJacks® appropriately spaced from the exterior door to the homeowner's bedroom. Additionally, any gaps encountered during the process were addressed using spray foam post-lift. Through meticulous lift procedures and shimming of existing supports, the project was completed successfully, meeting the homeowner's expectations for a leveled and stable trailer.
