How Does DBS Repair Unstable Walls?
Challenge
A homeowner in Orr, MN reached out to DBS with the concern for their safety and the conditions of their home because of lack of support in their walls. The walls in their home were bowing slightly a few months ago and progressed further throughout that time. Our clients were concerned about the effect this was having on their home and wanted to look into a repair solution. They said the walls were bowing, and they also think the walls had shifted altogether, as they were also beginning to notice cracking. This can happen for many reasons, DBS constantly works with homes that have structural and foundation problems, lacking support after a period of time. This is common in older homes, but there are many times that floors and walls begin to sink because of an overlooked structure problem. If you don’t notice the walls actually shifting, foundation problems, or the floors beginning to lag, then keeping an eye out for bowing walls and cracking in the walls or floor are often associated with instability in the home's foundation. These problems can grow worse if they are overlooked causing further foundation problems. However, DBS works very closely with homeowners to make sure their homes are stable and secure long into the future.
