Severe Concrete Cracking and Foundation Project in Kinney, MN
Challenge
DBS received a call from a very concerned homeowner that was having trouble with the cracking in their garage. The customer mentioned to DBS that the garage foundation on the hill in their house was pulling out from under the garage. The garage foundation was having trouble because the foundation was leaning out and settling. Other than this, the slab was cracked in the concrete. The customers were aware that both the foundation and the concrete in the household was going to need repair. The foundation was not stable and the cracks had been growing worse, but DBS sent a design specialist to the home to create a proposal to repair our client's garage.
Solution
The first step in repairing the garage was to look at the concrete cracking. Our installation team needed to work on the concrete slabs that were unstable. First, we would apply PolyLevel® to these concrete slabs to make sure they were stabilized, this would fill in the cracks and repair the concrete back to it’s original, sturdy structure.
The next step is to seal the joints of the garage with NexusPro™ joint sealant, this product works to make sure cracks and joints are filled-in, providing flexibility and long-lasting solutions, despite the weather conditions or the environment. It prevents and fixes cracks without drying, cracking, bubbling, etc. to make sure the concrete repair lasts long into the future.
The final step in this repair is to install Geo-Lock® Wall Anchor System to repair the foundation in the garage and the home. This product will help create more support and repair the foundation, making it stable and safe again. The old concrete will be removed and replaced, and the Geo-Lock™ wall anchor system will repair the foundation for the homeowners.
