Wall & Floor Stabilization Project in Pengilly, MN.
Challenge
DBS received a call that a home in Pengilly, MN was having trouble with their cracked walls. The homeowner told us that they had been noticing cracking in their home becoming a problem, they had put off fixing the problem, only making it worse. As the cracks had been getting worse, they knew they needed to fix it, especially with the cold winter approaching. They told us that because of the cracks, they started to notice unstable walls and floors in the home, throwing off the whole foundation. They wanted to make sure they could completely take care of the problem before it was too late. Our clients were very concerned about the status of their home, they were also worried about the cost of all the services it would require to fix the problem because they knew they had put off the maintenance for longer than they should’ve. DBS sent a Design Specialist to the home to work closely with the homeowners and make sure we give them the best price and ensure their home will be repaired, offering all the necessary services to fix the residential problems.
Solution
Our Design Specialist created a sufficient solution to satisfy the needs of our clients. This was a large project that required numerous services from DBS to repair the home. First, We install the Everlast™ Window in the home as a finished wall restoration with the PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System to make sure the wall is supported and restored to its original look and strength. We want to make sure that the appearance is the same, but also that the home is safe and sturdy for our clients. Next, we install the SmartJack® system to make sure the floor is also supported and safe. Following the installation, we put in the SilverGlo™ high-performance graphite installation because the homeowner was also looking to keep the home warm and maintain the temperature as the colder weather seasons were approaching. We also added a SuperSump® Premier Pump System that would manage the water well in the home to prevent any water damage that could cause further mold or foundation damages. These homeowners used our best quality services to not only repair the crack but to maintain all the important aspects of their home. They made sure that the water and temperature were maintained sooner than later, as they didn’t want to regret not replacing it in the future.
