This home in Duluth, MN was built in the early 1900's. Its current owners had lived there for 2 years when they started noticing some new cracks in the drywall and uneven floors on the main level of their home. After learning about our company on local television, they decided to schedule a free, no-obligation estimate for our foundation repair service. DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo is an expert in foundation repair solutions and visited the home for a thorough inspection. After measuring movement in the home and crawl space, he created a plan to stabilize the sinking floors. DBS Foreman Osia Williams and his crew began the stabilization by installing 22 feet of supplemental beam to offer more horizontal support for the space. Beneath it, they installed 3 SmartJacks and drove 4 helical piers into the ground in order to transfer the weight of the home to stable soil.
