This home served as a cabin in Hackensack, MN and was only visited during summer months. In order to better use the space year-round, the owner contacted DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate for our insulation service. Service Manager Jacob Nustad-Peluso was the Design Specialist for the job and provided a thorough inspection of the dirt crawl space. Because Jacob found issues with both air flow and moisture, he suggested using spray foam insulation to properly insulate the crawl space. DBS Installer Brandon Wollin installed 3 inches of spray foam in the crawl space, paying particular attention to seal all gaps and cracks from the floor to the rim joists. Our 2-part expanding spray foam has a closed-cell structure, making it effective in stopping outside air from entering the space, as well as moisture. Eliminating these two things is important to ensure good air quality in the home above.The homeowner was happy with their insulation work and looks forward to using their cabin year-round!
