Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Hayward, WI Crawl Space Lifted Back to Level with the DBS SmartJack® System
A homeowner in Hayward, WI wanted to replace the flooring on their main level. When preparing for the work, they noticed significant sloping in certain areas of the floor. They decided to contact DBS for a free, no-obligation foundation repair estimate in order to correct the problem before investing in new flooring. DBS Design Specialist Rich Johnsen visited the home and inspected the crawl space to find the root of the issue. The dirt crawl space was unsealed and the main supports were sinking. In order to provide a permanent solution for this homeowner, Rich recommended supplemental support along running along the entire length of the home.
DBS Foreman Taylor and his crew performed the crawl space repair work. They installed 175 feet of horizontal steel support beams parallel to the dirt crawl space. Our team then installed a total of 35 SmartJack® telescoping vertical beams beneath the new support beam and beneath the home's existing supports. The SmartJack® beams are anchored to the ceiling joists and supplemental support beams and held in place by steel footings. This home is now restored to a level position and is ready for home improvement projects in the future.
