Exposing the Basement Wall
The side of the house is excavated to allow access to the exterior of the basement wall.
Primer Applied to Exterior Wall
A primer is then applied to the exterior of the wall to help rubber membrane stick to the wall.
Rubber Membrane Applied to Wall
The rubber membrane is then carefully installed on top of the primer. We take the time to make sure the surface is clean before hand and that there are no wrinkles that form in the material during application.
Dimple Drainage Matting Installed
We then add a dimple drain mat on the outside of the membrane to allow any water to pass freely into the earth. Without this there is a risk of mold and mildew forming in areas of trapped water.
Radiant Barrier Applied for Insulation
Here you see our SilverGlo radiant barrier panels added as the final layer. This last layer will help keep the basement at a much more stable temperature year round.
Back-filling the Excavated Area
We then back-fill the excavated area to leave the home with as little disturbance as possible. This basement is now a much more dry and comfortable place for our customers to enjoy.
