Transforming a Trip Hazard: Concrete Repair for a Safer, More Inviting Rental Property in Minnesota

Before we stepped in, a glaring trip hazard at this rental property in Minnesota posed a serious safety risk. The uneven concrete was not only an eyesore, but it also created an unsafe environment for tenants and visitors. With cracks, gaps, and sinking sections, the surface was a major concern, especially for future tenants who might be at risk of tripping or falling. This presented not only safety issues but also the potential for liability, along with a significant blow to the property’s curb appeal. The owner knew that if the problem wasn’t addressed soon, it could detract from the overall appeal of the property and make it less attractive to renters.
Solution
To address this challenge, we used our proven concrete repair solutions: PolyLevel® and NexusPro®. First, we applied PolyLevel®, a highly effective, expanding polyurethane foam injection system that gently lifts and levels the sunken concrete back into place. This solution is fast, minimally invasive, and provides lasting results, making it perfect for rental properties where tenants need to be inconvenienced as little as possible. Once the concrete was properly leveled, we sealed the cracks and joints with NexusPro®, a high-quality sealant designed to prevent water from infiltrating and causing further damage. As seen in the "after" photo, the concrete is now smooth, level, and safe, ensuring the property is both inviting and secure for current and future tenants.
