This homeowner in Duluth, MN wanted to keep their basement dry as they want to use that space and create a lower living room, and didn't want to put money into refinishing the basement if water was going to remain an issue. Design Specialist, Rich Johnsen, assisted the owner with a free, no-obligation estimate. Foreman, Glen Olcott, led the installation of this project with help from a team. The team placed the drain lines within trenches along the perimeter of the basement walls. These drains collect the water and transport it to the sump pump where it is removed from the home. CleanSpace® was then applied to the walls for a clean finish and to help guide the water intrusion to the drain lines. The drains then direct all the water to the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump.

Before waterproofing, mold was building up along the basement floor. Along the floor here is where the WaterGuard® Drain System will be placed.

On this corner, the mold was especially bad. The crew used Moldex to remove the mold before installing CleanSpace® along the wall.

After the crew got rid of the mold on the wall with Moldex, they were able to install the WaterGuard® Drain System and Cleanspace. This corner will now stay dry and clean.
