Finding no major structural issues, he determined the best course of action would be to install an interior waterproofing system. DBS Foreman Joe Harris and his waterproofing crew began the installation by excavating concrete around the perimeter of the basement. The crew then installed WaterGuard® interior drain tile, and a CleanSpace® vapor barrier to protect the walls from moisture and leaking. Water collected from the CleanSpace® as well as at the foundation footing enters the system via inlet holes in the drain and it is carried to the basement sump pump. Once the WaterGuard® is in place, our team covers the drain with concrete to completely conceal the system.
