This Duluth, MN homeowner contacted DBS for help with their basement. Owning a charming, older house built in 1903 meant the basement would take on water. After receiving a recommendation from a friend who had work done by our company, the homeowner reached out to schedule a free, no-obligation estimate for the basement waterproofing work.James Miller, a DBS Design Specialist and expert in basement repair, visited the home to provide a thorough inspection. He examined the inside and outside of the home to determine the source of water and pinpoint the trouble areas. After reviewing the findings with the homeowner, he presented a custom plan for the basement waterproofing work, using our WaterGuard® system and a new sump pump.This interior waterproofing drain is designed to capture water seepage through walls and leaks along the wall and floor joint. Water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to your sump pump. DBS Foreman Osia Williams lead the installation of the WaterGuard® system. The crew dug a trench around the perimeter of the basement to install the drain system. After the WaterGuard® interior drain tile was installed, our team connected it to a new sump pump and routed the discharge line to carry water up and away from the home. The homeowner was happy with the waterproofing system our team installed and can now rest easy knowing their home is protected against pesky water intrusion!
