A homeowner in Duluth, MN wanted to move their home office into the basement. But, the basement had periodic issues with water leaking in from the foundation. After thoroughly inspecting the leaky basement, Henrik designed a custom plan for a basement waterproofing system including a vapor barrier, and drain tile. DBS Foreman Dustin Behning and his crew installed our basement waterproofing products. First, they dug a trench around the perimeter of the basement and carried out the concrete. From there, they installed our WaterGuard® drainage system and surrounded it with gravel to encourage proper drainage. Finally the drain system was connected to the homeowner's exsiting sump pump and covered in new concrete.Our CleanSpace® vapor barrier was also installed on the basement walls. This durable poly sheeting is anto-microbal and is designed to collect moisture and direct it into the drain system below.This homeowner now has a proven system for keeping water out of the basement.
