Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Cracked and Leaky Basement Supported in Centuria, WI

Homeowners in Centuria, WI had a leaky and wet basement. They knew it was most likely due to cracking in their foundation. In search of a permanent solution, they reached out to DBS DBS Sales Manager Royce Bunn was the Design Specialist for this project and recommended that a new drain system needed to be installed, as well as substantial support for the shifting basement walls. A DBS foreman and crew installed a new french drain system and CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier along the perimeter of the basement. This system directs all the moisture to a new SuperSump® Premier Pump System. To permanently stabilize the basement walls, 8 steel I-beams were used. This PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, is meant to support walls from further movement and can be tightented over time, in order to restore the wall to its original position. The installation was successful and provided a solid solution to the leaking water and foundation cracks.

Sinking Support Beams

Foundation Bowing

This wall is bowing due to shifting and settling soil on the exterior of the home.

White Residue

This white residue, known as efflorescence, is the substance that is left after water evaporates. High presence of efflorescence indicates lots of water has found its way to the basement.

New Drain System and CleanSpace®

DBS crews installed a new drain system and CleanSpace® around the basement perimeter.

PowerBrace™ Support Beams

These steel I-beams are anchored to the floor and rim joists of the basement ceiling.

This basement is now fully protected from water and further movement!
