Wet Basements
This apartment building had a few basement areas that were all equally wet. They had water issues for a long time and the owner did not like the idea of risking damage to HVAC, Water Heaters, and Electrical equipment.
Expensive Equipment Doesn't Go Well With Water
Standing water and humidity can cause rust, mold, and rotting. To protect expensive items from the effects of basement flooding it is crucial to properly waterproof your basement space.
Evidence of Water Issues
The floor of this basement tells a story of years of problems with water. Fortunately DBS offers solutions to permanently fix these issues.
Drains Just Don't Cut It
Drains like this one can be helpful, but the water can still cause plenty of damage before it reaches the drain and if the drain becomes clogged or overwhelmed it can be especially devastating to the basement.
A Dry Basement Solution
The buildings required a proper drain tile to prevent water from gathering in the basement.
Drain Tile With Wall Opening
We use dimple drainage matting against the wall here to help lead water down the wall into the drain tile which leads to the sump pump.
Redirecting Water
This system effectively re-directs water away from areas where it can cause harm. The water is led through the drain tile into a sump pump where it is pumped away from the building.
