Beginning to Waterproof
In this situation, we needed to clear out the concrete around the footing of the home. We needed to clear enough space for a new drain tile to be installed. This means enough room for the pipe to be placed and for space above to be filled back smooth with concrete. Once the space is dug out and the old concrete hauled away we can begin installing the CleanSpace waterproof matting on the walls. We're careful to work around pipes and other protrusions to waterproof the wall as best as possible.
Sump Pit and Sump Pump
We clear extra space to install a new basin for the sump pump. This is where the new drain tile leads so that the water may be pumped out of the home.
Drainage Matting
We use a hard plastic matting to lead the water from under the wall plastic down into the drain tile.
Covering Our Work
Once the drain tile and waterproofing have been installed we cover our work with new concrete.
A Sealed System
When the products have been installed we smooth out the new cement to seal the new system to help make it blend with the old floor. After this has been completed our customer has a waterproofed basement wall. If the customer requests we are also able to finishin the basement using our specialized inorganic products that will not mold or rot over time.
