Homeowners of this McGregor, MN home knew they had to tackle its foundation issues soon after its purchase. Individual blocks in the foundation wall were shifting and this was causing water instrustion in the basement. To prevent further damage, they reached our to DBS for more on our foundation repair service. A DBS Design Specialist visited the home and performed a thorough inspection, assessing the basement wall shifting, as well as the exterior of the home. The action plan for the block walls in the basement was to install our PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, and well as CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcing System. In order to ensure that the basement would stay dry, our DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his team installed a waterproofing system around the perimeter of the basement. This included 96 feet of WaterGuard® and CleanSpace® leading to a new TripleSafe™ sump pump. The crew then installed 4 PowerBrace™ I-beams. Our team anchored the beams to the basement concrete, as well as to the rim joists in the ceiling. These beams will be tightened overtime to restore the wall's original position.

PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System

To permanently stabilize the basement walls, the production crew installed 8 PowerBrace™ steel I-beams. This PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, is meant to support walls from further movement and can be tightened over time, in order to restore the walls to their original position. The PowerBrace™ beams are zinc-plated and backed with a 75-year warranty against movement.

TripleSafe™ Sump Pump

This sump pump has a battery backup, giving you several hours of additional protection against water damage if your primary pump fails for any reason, such as during a power outage.
